India, the second-largest market for Nokia's handsets, will become its global hub for exports.
Its Chennai plant, which currently exports to 58 countries, will become its global operations center, according to the company, the world's largest cell phone manufacturer.

Almost half of India's 185 million cell phones in India are Nokia. India now ranks only behind China as the largest market for Nokia phones, displacing the United States.
