Reader’s Digest is moving its IT operations spanning 45 countries to India in a seven-year, $350 million outsourcing agreement with India’s HCL Technologies.

 
Albert L. Perruzza, senior vice president for global operations, IT and business redesign at Reader’s Digest, which publishes 92 magazine titles and 65 web sites, said, “We expect to see dramatic reductions in our total IT costs, even as HCL helps us to bring our IT standards up to world class in terms of cutting-edge technology and practices, functionality and service.”
