Indians World’s Greenest

| Few Indians have hot running water and even fewer have air-conditioned homes — and that’s a good thing.
A worldwide survey of environmentally sustainable behavior by National Geographic finds India at the top of the list with a Greendex score of 59.5. Americans, by contrast, were at the bottom, with a score of 43.7.
