$31 Million Scam

A 46-year-old chief accounting officer at an audio company has been indicted for embezzling $31 million.

Sujata “Sue” Sachdeva, former vice president of finance for Koss Corporation, a publicly traded company in Milwaukee, Wisc., which manufactures stereo headphones and speakers, is charged with using the money for luxury travel, as well as to buy personal clothing, furs, purses, shoes, jewelry, automobiles, china, statues, etc. She is also accused of using the money for renovations to her home and for various personal services. Prosecutors say it is one of the largest embezzlement cases ever brought in the district.
