With a 200% return over the past six years, Indian stocks had the second highest return for investors in Asia. At the end of 2009, the Sensex grew 199% during the past six years, behind only Indonesia’s Jakarta Composite Index, which posted a 264% return during the same period, according to a report to the Indian parliament. Chinese stocks ranked third with 117%, followed by South Korea with 104% and Hong Kong with 74%. |
