Rajat Gupta On Galleon Tapes?

The widening circle around Galleon Group hedge fund billionaire Raj Rajaratnam, who has been charged with insider trading, might have ensnared former McKinsey Managing Partner and Goldman Sachs director Rajat Gupta, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The newspaper reported that prosecutors are examining whether Gupta gave inside information to Rajaratnam about a $5 billion investment in Goldman by Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway in 2008.

The Journal said Gupta has been notified by prosecutors that several of his conversations were intercepted on wiretap recordings of Rajaratnam’s phones.
