It seems that Victor has a Christian agenda in his writings; Indian did not get thier moral & spiritual, nor linguistic skills nor values from the so called christian world. In fact it the reverse may be more accurate. Tagore\'s poetic & craetive writings came well after the many great literary works, starting from time immemorial with the Vedas; there are thousands of poetic & literary work by any number of saints, rishis & philosophers that preceeded Tagore\'s: have you ever delved into the sublime poetic work of Swami Valmiki ?Why quote Tagore out of context ? Even Gandhi revered Christianity, as well as other faiths, but he always reminded christians to be true Christians themselves rather than trying to convert others; Tagore was simply embracing the so called Christian value, values that are universal to all religions.. that most people lack.Indian philosophy, art, & poetry did not get its richness from the very recent Christian world; it has been as ageless as time itself. Lord Krishna declared in the Gita that He is the source of All & that there never was a time when He was not.
