Now we don’t need to pay to get married to a person with high status when we can get that status ourselves.&quot; Dowrys should no longer be allowed in India.  No lady nor her family should be paying for her bride....nowadays brides are educated or even more educated than the groom and already have a higher status.  Furthermore, happiness is not defined by status or money.]]></description>
