After the rush of correct answers identifying the tabla as our August Go Figure mystery, we confess we made the September mystery hard - too hard, perhaps. No reader was able to correctly identify it as the core of the sunflower. It was most commonly mistaken for pomegranate seeds, but also for chola, chikki, onions, fish, bird, and in one case, evem the Karni Mata's Temple near Bikaner. A couple of readers came tantalizingly close, identifying it as a flower, but that answer was considered too broad to win the prize.
