Indian men would need the permission of their wives to travel abroad under a proposal being considered by the National Commission for Women.
The Hindustan Times reports that the Rajasthan Legal Services Authority is urging the commission to require all married Indian men to secure a no-objection certificate from their wives for overseas travel. The proposal is designed to protect women from being abandoned by their husbands. | |
