African Americans, Hispanics and Asians trust Whites more than members of other groups, according to a new poll.
Nearly 61% of Hispanics, 54% of Asians and 47% of African Americans say they prefer to do business with Whites over the other two groups.
In the survey, conducted for New America Media, 44% of Hispanics and 47% of Asians reported they are "generally afraid of African Americans because they are responsible for most of the crime." Almost half of African Americans said they were threatened by Hispanics, because "they are taking jobs, housing and political power away from the Black community."
Pollster Sergio Bendixen said, "The poll reaffirms that while race relations between ethnic groups and whites grabs the headlines, there are also serious racial problems between minority groups in America."
