A weak foundation and water seepage is endangering the legendary Qutab Minar, which has tilted 25 inches to the southwest.
The Archaeological Survey of India has water sealed the area around the structure with limestone and established six underground “water traps” to block water from reaching its foundations
The 72.5 metre high structure built in 1173 developed a tilt soon after its construction, drawing comparisons with Italty’s Leaning Tower of Pisa.
