Publicity shy Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had an unusual request for Pres. Barack Obama on his recent U.S. visit.
Would Obama sign his autograph for Singh’s daughter, Amrit Singh, a staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union, who is litigating ACLU’s freedom of information request against the Department of Defense, for photos depicting the torture of detainees? Obama recently decided to bar the release of the photos. But he gamely agreed to the autograph.
