A primary school with predominantly Indian and Asian children has been rated as Britain’s best performing primary school.
A primary school with predominantly Indian and Asian children, who don’t speak English as their first language, has been rated as Britain’s best performing primary school in — you guessed it — English.
Newton Farm Nursery in Harrow, northwest London, where nearly 75 percent of the school’s 200 students are ethnic minorities had the highest average score in Math and English in national tests. “The school provides a really well-rounded education while the foundations are absolutely rock solid. I believe our success is down to the rigor with which we look after our children,” according to head-teacher Rekha Bhakoo.
