Indian tourists spend an average of $4,390 on their U.S. visit, contributing an estimated $2.86 billion to the US economy.

651,000 Indian tourists visited the US in 2010, a 140% growth since 2003. Tourism from India is projected to grow 50 percent by 2016.

Chinese and Brazilian tourists outspend Indians, racking up $6,000 and $5,000 respectively.
