Almost half of all Americans believe the next Bill Gates will come from China or Japan.

 
An Internet Attitudes poll by Zogby and 463 Communications found that 27% of Americans believe the next Bill Gates will come from China, followed by Japan (22%), U.S. (21%) and India (13%).

But then Americans aren't exactly bowled over by new technology. Just a third rate the Internet as the greatest human invention, with almost twice as many deferring instead to Gutenberg's printing press.

Bill Zhou better be hitting those programming books.
