It is perhaps fitting that the country most associated with outsourcing, is outsourcing visa applications of people seeking to visit India.

 
The Indian Embassy in Washington, D.C., has outsourced its visa application services to Travisa Outsourcing Inc. The company's online portal will process the online applications and its visa application centers in Washington, DC, New York, San Fransisco, Chicago and Houston will accept in person applications although all visas will be issued by the embassy or consulates. Applicants can track the progress of their applications, which will be processed the same day for applications received at the visa application centers and next day if received by mail.
