Analysts expect the dollar to decline further against the rupee

The dollar, which peaked at Rs 46.85 on July 24, 2006, has lost almost 15 percent of its value to the Indian rupee during the past year.

On Dec 20, it was trading at Rs 39.3

Analysts expect the dollar to decline further against the rupee. The Economist predicts it will fall to Rs 38.4 in 2008 and to Rs 37.4 in 2009.
