| A Brooklyn construction worker is suing the New York-Presbyterian Hospital for forcibly conducting a rectal exam when he came for a head injury. Brian Persaud was handcuffed and arrested after he protested that doctors didn't need to give him a rectal exam for his head injury sustained at a construction site in May 2003.
The revelation about the rectal exam angered Persaud, who hit a doctor during a struggle and yelled, "Where I came from, you don't put anything in someone's a------!" Persaud was sedated and later arrested. Those charges were later dropped. Persaud's civil lawsuit is scheduled for trial in March. |
