Record Salary

A graduate of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, bagged the top salary of Rs 1.4 crores ($350,000) in this year’s graduating class. Last year, the highest salary offered at the institute was Rs 1.2 crores ($300,000).

 
The average domestic salary offered this year to IIM graduates was Rs 17.85 lakhs ($44,000), a 30% jump over last year’s average of Rs 13.7 lakh ($34,000). The average international salary was Rs 48 lakhs ($120,000). Almost a quarter of the IIM graduates opted for international placements — Asia-Pacific (11%), Europe (7%), US (4%) and Middle East (2%).
