Indian Companies Top H1 Visa Approvals

Indian companies account for nearly 80% of visa petitions approved in 2007 among the top 10 participants in the program.

Infosys topped the list with 4,559 approved visa petitions, followed by Wipro with 2,567 approved visa petitions, according to the US Citizenship & Immigration Services. Six of the top 10 visa recipients in 2007 are based in India. Two others, Cognizant Technology Solutions and UST Global, are headquartered in the US but have their principal operations in India.

Microsoft, with 959 approved petitions, and Intel, with 369, are the only two U.S. companies to make the top 10 list.
