The US has displaced the UK as the country with the largest number of tourists visiting India.

| The US has displaced the UK as the country with the largest number of tourists visiting India. Nearly 800,000 American tourists visited India last year, representing almost 1 in 7 of the more than 5 million foreign tourists to visit the country.
