An Indian court has rejected a claim by Warner Bros. that a new film Hari Puttar should be barred as the title may be confused with the Harry Potter series.

The court rejected Warner's assertion that the title would "confuse consumers and benefit from the well-known and well-loved Harry Potter brand," saying that Indian fans would know the difference.

 
The movie's plot, about two Indian children forgotten at home in Britain, is reportedly closer to Home Alone. Its producers, Mirchi Movies, claim the movie has no resemblance to Harry Potter, noting that Hari (meaning God) is a common name in the country, and "puttar" is simply Punjabi for "son."

Come on Warner Brother!
