Aravind Adiga novel The White Tiger about a man who struggles to escape village poverty by seeking success in a big city has won this year's prestigious Man Booker Prize. Adiga is the fourth Indian-born author to win the prize, after Salman Rushdie, Arundhati Roy and Kiran Desai.
