White is the most popular vehicle color in India and North America, according to the 2008 DuPont Automotive Color Popularity Report.
Silver had held the top spot in the U.S. for seven years before it was displaced by white in 2007. This year, white and white pearl captured 20% of the North America market, while black and "black effect" held 17%, followed by silver. White narrowly edged out silver as the most popular vehicle color in both Japan (32%) and India (28%) according to the DuPont study.

Silver remains the most popular color in South Korea (50%) and China (32%). Black dominates the European market (26%), followed by white and silver. Russia is the only market where white does not make the top five vehicle colors. After white, silver and black, blue is the only color to make the top 5 auto color choices in every country, except Brazil.
