Three Sikh Indian musicians ordered off a U.S. Airways flight at Sacramento International Airport are accusing the airline of racial profiling.

The musicians, Gulbag Singh, Davinder Singh and Iqbal Singh, were evicted from the flight to Phoenix because the pilot refused to fly with them on board, according to their attorney Jaspreet Singh.

A US Airways spokesman said the men were taken off the flight because of "potential security concerns ... based on some observations from passengers and airline personnel," which he declined to identify. The airline provided overnight accommodations and rebooked the passengers on a United Airlines flight the following day.

Sikhs have complained about harassment by airlines since 9/11, as their turbans are often confused with the headgear of the Taliban.
