Russia, India Prop Up Volkswagen

At a time when the entire industry is taking a beating, Volkswagen is among the few companies likely to hold on to its sales this year thanks to solid sales in India and Russia.

 
Volkswagen's sales in Russia grew 62 percent in the first 11 months of this year, while India posted a 60 percent increase. Sales grew 12 percent in Brazil and 10 percent in China. Worldwide, its sales edged up 0.2 percent, declining 1 percent in Europe.
