Web 2.0 has bested Jai Ho and Slumdog as the millionth English word or phrase.

According to The Global Language Monitor, which tracks latest trends in popular English usage globally, Jai Ho (Hindi for victory, popularized by composer A.R. Rahman in a song), n00b (a derisive term for a newcomer) and slumdog (meaning slum children), ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.

The group recently announced the 1,000,001 word: financial tsunami.
