A diet of Indian curry two or three times a week lowers the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia
| Remember to eat your curry. A diet of Indian curry two or three times a week lowers the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, according to researchers. Murali Doraiswamy, a researcher at Duke University, attributes the effects to curcumin, a component of turmeric, which resists amyloid protein plaques that are linked to dementia. Researchers are testing to see whether higher doses might enhance the effect. |
