Ramdev’s Peace Island

Devotees of yoga and lifestyle guru Baba Ramdev are creating a yoga retreat on a $3 million tiny North Ayrshire island of Little Cumbrae in Scotland.

 
Ramdev, whose practices a brand of pranayama yoga and claims an international following of 80 million, led a procession accompanied by bagpipes across the 700 acre island in September to launch the retreat.

Ramdev claims to cure diseases like multiple sclerosis and other ailments, telling reporters, “We have cured hypertension, thyroid problems, asthma, arthritis, [and on cancer] the cancer cells cannot survive in an oxygenated environment — this is a scientific truth.”
