Obama’s Lucky Guru

So who is the Hindu guru on a lucky charm Pres Barack Obama was holding during a phone conversation with a member of Congress in the Oval office on March 21? Soon after the official photo was released by the White House, an Indian blog Sepia Mutiny began asking its members to track down the guru. Hours later they had an answer: Kriya Yoga’s leader Paramahamsa Prajnanananda. Headquartered in Puri, Kriya Yoga has over 100 centers worldwide, including 35 in the United States.

 
So just how did Obama end up with Paramahamsa Prajnanananda’s lucky charm during the campaign: inquiring minds want to know.
