Global perceptions about the US have improved, while those of India have declined from a year ago, according to a BBC poll of 28 countries.
“Worldwide, views of India lean only modestly to the positive, barely edging out views of China. Among 27 countries polled, 15 are positive about India‘s influence in world affairs, ten are negative and two are divided. On average, among 27 countries, 36 per cent are positive and 31 per cent negative about India‘s influence,” according to the report.

China, Pakistan and Germany have the most negative attitudes toward India, while South Korea and the US have the most positive attitudes.
Germany is most favorably viewed country in the world, followed by Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, and France. Iran is the least favorably viewed nation, followed by Pakistan, North Korea, Israel, and Russia.
