India ranks 78th in Newsweek magazine’s ranking of the World’s Best Countries. Finland tops the list, followed by Switzerland, Sweden and Australia. Canada ranked 7th and the United States came in at 11th. Among Asian countries, South Korea ranked top at 15th and Singapore at 20th. China was ranked 59th. Pakistan (89) ranked even below Bangladesh (88).
Newsweek based its rankings on five categories of national well-being — education, health, quality of life, economic competitiveness, and political environment. India ranked 88th in Education, 82nd in Health, 87th in Quality of Life, 38th in Economic Dynamism and 48th in Political Environment. |
