Indian American fusion chef Aarti Sequiera has been crowned the Next Food Network Star on the sixth season of the show. Sequiera gets her
 
own show on the network, titled Aarti Party, which is the first American TV show to focus on Indian food. The network says: “On this show she surprises viewers with unexpected flavors and techniques to expand their palates and culinary repertoire by imparting her knowledge of Indian cuisine and putting an approachable spin on all-American classics.”
