Spycam Student Indicted

A RutgersUniversity student accused of using a webcam to spy on his roommate having gay sex has been indicted on a sexual orientation hate crime charge.

 
Dharun Ravi, 19, is also charged with invasion of privacy, evidence tampering and witness tampering.

Ravi’s roommate Tyler Clementi committed suicide by jumping off the GeorgeWashingtonBridge on Sept. 22, 2010, soon after his sexual tryst was allegedly videotaped by Ravi, who tweeted his followers to watch the video online.
