| Members of India’s medical community are bristling at what they term as Pres. Barack Obama’s cheap shot at the country’s “cheap” healthcare.
Indian health minister Ghulam Nabi Azad countered: “Affordable healthcare does not mean our medicine is inferior to any superpower.” Dr Vinay Agarwal, president of the Indian Medical Association, said Obama’s quip “only tells that US feels threatened by India as we are competing with them in providing quality healthcare at cheaper cost.” |
