Girls in Kanpur shamed many self-styled Romeos who eve-teased them by tying rakhis on them, forcing some of them to flee.

Students of various colleges in Kanpur fanned out on Raksha Bandhan to tie rakhis on their tormentors. Neelima Chaturvedi, coordinator of the city-based Rakhi Centre, said, “It will certainly act as a deterrent.”
